Here’s my “abortion” story.
It was April 9, 2020 and Anthony and I went in for an anatomy ultrasound at almost 21 weeks gestation.
There was no heartbeat.
Our baby had died at least 2 weeks prior if not more.
My body didn’t get the memo and was holding onto a life that no longer existed. My options? A D&C or delivery. Both technically “abortions”.
We chose delivery so we could see, hold, and bury our baby. Still, I was given meds I had to sign for because as the nurse told me, “These are used to terminate a pregnancy.” AKA abort.
Without terminating my pregnancy through various forms of induction, I eventually would’ve gotten an infection that could lead to sepsis and death.
This was necessary. This was life-saving. This was “abortion” except I wasn’t ending a life. Her life had already ended.
It was a stillbirth.
Abortion which ends life is WRONG. Period. I see so many women fearing they won’t have access to these life-saving procedures but that’s simply not the case because in reality a missed miscarriage, an ectopic pregnancy, an induced stillbirth, or other terminations of pregnancies no longer viable are NOT abortions.
So stop. Please stop pretending like what women like me have gone through are abortions, because they’re not. Stop acting like you’re advocating for women like me because if you were you’d already know we’re not at risk.
If you care you will advocate for lives to be saved. You will fight to protect the family unit and help teach the importance of having a mother AND a father in the home. You will advocate for smaller government and stop government handouts so people learn to be independent instead of dependent and crippled.
Did you know the abortion industry targets black women just as many movements in US history have? Stop being racist and start caring about the real issues and problems which started this wickedness, to begin with.
Satan attacks families. He doesn’t want mothers and fathers in the home. He doesn’t want babies to be born. He wants the world to be deceived. Have you wondered why our country is so screwed up right now? It’s because of the abounding wickedness around us. This pattern is all over Scripture.
Learn from history and stop letting it repeat itself.
