Dear Future Husband,
Thank you for loving me and seeing beyond the baggage I carry. People say we all have our own, but I have experienced countless days where mine has felt particularly bulky and heavy, so I thank you for seeing me for me. Thank you for helping me leave some of it behind and for being willing to help me carry it until I’m ready to let go of it all. It means the world to me that you even gave me a chance. I love you with all of my heart and promise to always love you. You are my forever.
Thank you for being strong and faithful. I feel so much peace thinking about eternity with you. We have goals we want to reach and passions we want to pursue and I love that. I promise to always support you through everything, thick and thin. My love for you is constant and unconditional.
I love you for encouraging me to be and become a better and improved person. I love laughing with you and can’t wait to laugh through all of life’s journeys together. Though different, I imagine we’ve both been through some tough times, but they’ve made us stronger and into the great people we are today.
My love, I know we can and will do great things together and that we will last forever so long as we work hard and build a marriage built on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This will make our marriage one of unconditional love, forgiveness, integrity, virtue, and faith. We can do nothing but succeed under those circumstances. I love you, forever and ever. I will not ever give up on us, even if we face the hardest of times. I know it will be worth it.
To you, I give my heart and every part of me there is to have. I am trusting you and hope I always can. At the point in which I am writing this there are fears I have in regards to abuse, narcissism, betrayal, and being left again. I know it’s not fair to you and you’re not my ex-husband, so until we meet, date, get engaged, and then married, I will work to rid myself of these fears so I don’t project them onto you.
Please, be honest, always, no matter what. You know what honesty means to me. I have felt your honesty, which has enabled me to feel like I can trust you and that I can marry you. Please don’t ever give up on us or me.
